OB Odense vs. Hertha Berlin

OB Odense is a team from Denmark that not many people have heard of. They're in the Superligan with 5 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss and sit in the fourth position behind Kobenhaven, Aalborg, and Brondby. They have played 5 matches at home, winning 4 and drawing one.

In their last meeting with Hertha, Odense got off to a quick start with a goal against the German squad and set that frantic tone for the whole game. Hertha were lucky to equalize but still gave up two valuable away goals.

The German club Hertha Berlin have been struck back down to reality after their draw to Mainz on the weekend. Although their #1 spot felt good, they knew it wasn't going to last long. Hertha's away form in the Bundesliga is 3 draws with no wins or losses.

Hertha's situation in this matchup is looking pretty gloomy. Team coach Falko Götz has a bit of an injury crisis for a game they absolutely have to win. Gilberto and Yildiray Bastürk, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Marko Pantelic, and Dick van Burik are very much doubtful for this fixture.

The only way that Hertha can progress to the next stage is to win at Denmark. Odense is highly known in their league to have a strong home form and record. There is tremendous value on Odense +106 pk at the Greek and I will pounce on it. The odds are not in favor of Hertha's, with a depleted team, not stellar away form, and a league game against Stuttgart on Sunday. Give me Odense for 3 units to win 3.18 units.

Brondby vs. Frankfurt

In the first fixture, Frankfurt easily won 4-0 in the first leg of the two fixtures. The first half went scoreless and Brondby fell apart in the 2nd half by conceding their first two goals through penalty kicks.

Frankfurt has 1 win, 4 draws in the German Bundesliga. They are coming into this fixture with a relaxed feeling and with the mindset of not giving up 4 goals. They have an important fixture with Hamburg and are probably going with the mindset of not injuring any players with this game.

Brondby, on the other hand, are looking for some payback. The side from Denmark has 5 wins and 4 draws sitting 3rd on the tables. Last season, Brondy went a phenomenal 15-1-1 at home and have won every single fixture so far this season at home. Brondby face tremendous odds to advance in the tournament, but those are amazing stats that really emphasize the importance of home advantage. Look for Brondby to get some revenge tomorrow with a win of their own. Brondby -1/2 +110 to win 5.5 units. This is a huge play for me as many punters will be thinking it's easy living for Eintracht, but the Danish side have other things to say about it.

I'm wagering on a big day tomorrow. Good Luck on your plays tomorrow guys.

Also a tip for you guys. Take it for what it's worth but the Palermo president was open about wanting his side to lose in tomorrow's draw. He wants his team to focus on the Serie A rather than international flight. It is difficult to say how the team responds to that, but this news definitely favors West Ham United backers.

Also, I decided not to play the Braga match just for the fact that they could lose 1-0 and still advance in the competition.

like the Brondby pick especially b/c Eintracht have a match on Saturday and a huge 4-0 aggregate lead. As far as Hertha both Boateng and Pantelic are expected to play but Odense in some serious form, 4-1-0 L5 though Hertha playing well also. I expect a much different game than 1st leg, something like 0-1 away win but definitely lean to under

Nice write-ups. Even though Brondby lost 0-4 the last time, they are no slouch.

Good luck.

thanks guys. I think hertha is put into a very difficult position trying to win in Denmark. It is possible, but OB hasn't lost at home since July. Plus their good form, I'm hoping the worst I can do is a 0-0 score and push. If Hertha wins, then they will be a different team from the previous years and impress me. But I'm hoping for a big day from the teams in Denmark.

Quantum, I like that ballsy play you're making on the Parma game. Parma are in atrocious form and I think you found some great value on it. Good Luck with that one.

Thanks emu. I'm going back to what I started with and that is road dogs. If they get above +600 then I take the Asian Handicap. I'll still bet some favorites but I like to bet teams that have line movement going toward them. A lot of favorites get the play simply because they are good, not that they are profitable. Home dogs that get the play are profitable.

i like both your picks and being from germany i can totally confirm everything you said.i will just not play against hertha as i learnt my lesson with them in the past. they always screw me. being for or against them, but overall they are a team to fade in germany for next 2-3 weeks, as bastürk was their key-player for the early season success and he will be out injured.

Mr.WILD,

Will follow on your UEFA selections accordingly (Don't follow that closely).
Only track Spanish and Italian soccer.

Am leaning on:
EMPOLI ROMA - Total way under (4 units)
(Deflation follows disappointment: 0-0 tie or 1-0 Roma, best
MILAN SIENA - Total over (2 units)
TORINO LAZIO - Lazio winner (1 unit)

BTW, ANY LEANS ON ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP GAMES. THANKS, AND GOOD LUCK

Ok guys, one down and the big important one is coming up right around noon. It will be such a relief to almost go back to the plus side if Brondby comes in. Odense did their job, now it's time for the other Danish team. :suomi:

Actuarian, I am going to look at premiership, championship, french division, serie a, bundesliga, scottish, and primera liga to see if I can come up with something.

All my saturday wagers will probably be posted tomorrow afternoon. I might have a play on colchester/ipswich but I'll look into it.

Brondby comes back to equalize 1-1. Come on guys, show the German side your home field class.
